This position reports directly to the Sr. Vice President of CNPC USA Corp. until a team lead or manager is assigned.
Conduct all business activities in agreement with CNPC USA core values.
Prepare production reservoir engineering, fracture stimulation designs, programs and cost estimates.
Provide engineering support for a multi-disciplined and completion asset team.
Assist with developing an active-drilling plan.
Perform reserves and economic evaluations of drilling production, recompletion, workover, and acquisition opportunities.
Analyze data to make well-founded recommendations, and effectively communicate the analysis.
Assist engineering and other personnel to solve operating problems.
Confer with scientific, engineering, and technical personnel in order to resolve design, research, and test problems.
Research methods and industry standards to utilize downhole technology tools within the GGRE group.
Demonstrated ability to deliver on time, on target, with quality and sustainability.
Ability to write technical reports.
Ability to interpret drilling, completion and production testing information.
Ability to use industry software applications and platforms
Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
Ability to effectively communicate and work in a team environment.
BS degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Reservoir Engineering or related discipline required.
3 + years petroleum/reservoir engineering/completions (fracture stimulations) job design, execution and optimization experience with a combination of office and field based roles.
Knowledge and experience with unconventional reservoirs a plus.
Experience using FrancpoPT, PIPESIM, Gohfer, Mfrac, NETool and reservoir engineering or simulation tool tool platform is preferred
Must be eligible to work in the United States of America.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing and the ability to lift 20lbs and bend is required.
Occasional international and domestic travel may be required. Some occasional local day travel may be necessary.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
