JOB ROLE: VP of Consulting - People Performance

LOCATION: Based out of our Atlanta office with the flexibility to work from home and travel to our other global offices.

REPORTING TO: SVP of Global Delivery


JOB OVERVIEW 

Working in collaboration with the SVP of Global Delivery, the purpose of this role is to integrate into the Delivery function and drive continual improvements on financial performance and client engagements by creating highly engaged and motivated teams. CMSPI’s continued success will be achieved through three main levers: people, resourcing, and finance. This role will be integral to ensure we’re most effectively developing talent through current and future progression paths available at CMSPI.

The VP of Consulting - People Performance will be tasked on maintaining focus and oversight across increasing engagement, job satisfaction, and career development of the members of the global Delivery Team, and in turn helping to positively influence sustainable growth of the company. This role will have a dotted reporting line relationship to the COO and will work closely with the CFO and CPSO (Chief People Success Officer) to fully leverage these key functions.


What will you be doing...

People

  • In partnership with the SVP of Delivery, take responsibility for the engagement and culture of the global Delivery Team.
  • Working with the People Success team, run effective and efficient people actions for the Delivery Team including quarterly performance assessments, development plans, talent reviews, and promotion & reward cycles.
  • Work with the People Success team to develop a high performing community of Performance Managers, supporting them to help people to manage their careers, their wellbeing, and ensure retention of our high performers.
  • Drive an inclusive culture in the Delivery Team that promotes and champions CMSPI’s core values.
  • Support the recruitment process to ensure timely filling of vacancies (internal & external).
  • Work with Performance managers and PS to deliver on all people initiatives including (but not exclusively) those that come out of eNPS and People Experience surveys to help drive and maintain strong relationships with the team.
  • Build trusted relationships with CMSPI’s team, and gain the respect to effect positive change within the business

    Resourcing

    • Through Headcount Planning and Talent Reviews, deeply understand the team’s capabilities and skills mix, and use this information to support resourcing, mobility, and learning decisions.
    • Work with Resource Management to ensure engagements are appropriately resourced considering strategic priorities for the client and development needs of people and inclusion considerations.
    • Actively work with the Senior Delivery Team, Resourcing and PS to ensure talent flows across the business to meet critical spots and address development needs.
    • Embed Communities of Practice ensuring best practice, capturing and sharing information and promoting Knowledge Management tools to improve understanding of our wins and drive continuous improvement.

    Finance

    • Work closely with the CFO and finance team to manage the cost base of the team.
    • Gain and maintain a strong understanding of CMSPI’s business objectives, including how performance impacts the financial success of the company
    • Accountable for improving key financial metrics for the team, as agreed with the CFO and Exco. Examples of these may include:
      • Staff Utilization
      • Improved Engagement Profitability
      • Reduction in Direct Cost


    What we are looking for...

     SKILLS/PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:

    • +5 years’ experience working previously in professional services/consulting as Performance Management Lead (PML).
    • Experience of working with a team of Performance Managers to influence a people agenda across multiple locations.
    • Analytical and strategic mindset to see potential operational issues in the organization before they develop. Implementing the right solutions and pivoting processes to fit business needs when needed.
    • Understanding of people metrics and data to identify trends and how they can then influence strategy and decision making.
    • Exceptional people skills, an astute communicator, who can coach & empower managers to motivate employees to perform at their best.
