Under the general supervision of the IS Manager, the Business Systems Analyst analyzes the business processes, functions, and procedures to determine the most effective business systems software to meet the needs of the organization. The Business Systems Analyst will construct forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement best practices in data management, data cleansing, data quality and data consolidation to ensure the integrity of the data and the quality of data processes
  • Serve as one of the hands-on system administrators of Epicor to ensure application stability and data integrity. Lead and manage the testing of Epicor to execute features, integration, and reporting, including serving as the lead for functional and user testing efforts
  • Participate in efforts to reengineer and optimize business processes using technology solutions to gain efficiencies and reduce manual effort of stakeholders
  • Create workflows, process maps and summaries to document processes, procedures, and possible solutions
  • Actively participate in system enhancements, including requirements gathering, development, testing, data validation, documentation, user support and training, and on-going application maintenance
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to develop and maintain relationships, understand cross-functional processes and data flow, and enable more powerful analyses and tools
  • Partner with key business stakeholders and multi-departments to build a continuous improvement environment to support an ongoing program of transformation
  • Provides training and technical support to system end-users.

SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex computer and computer program problems. Logical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Epicor preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of computer experience including, operating systems, network administration, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office Applications, relational databases, including SQL, use and support of ERP systems and report writing
  • History working in, or general understanding of accounting processes a plus
  • Ability to perform SWOT analysis with recommendations for continuous improvement for project initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to analyze complex business challenges, respond independently and communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Application of statistical methods to manage analysis

QUALIFICATIONS(Education and experience)

  • BA degree in the field of information systems, business and/or equivalent related experience
  • 5-7 years related work experience in business system analyst and project/program management
  • Advanced Experience with ERP systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Occasionally, the employee must crouch or kneel. Must be able to sit at a computer for long periods of time. Successful performance requires specific vision abilities that include close vision. The employee must regularly exert or lift up to 25 pounds unaided.
