Electrical/Mechanical Field Service Technician (Dallas or Texarkana, Texas)

Clyde Industries has developed significant innovations in our core sootblower offering, encompassing mission critical technologies designed to remove residue and deposits that build up in recovery and power boilers (with such residue creating safety hazards, process efficiency reductions or complete boiler shutdown if not properly eliminated). 

Clyde Industries is seeking a Field Service Technician that has extensive electrical and mechanical experience. This is a direct hire, full time, hourly position with a comprehensive wellness and benefit package. This position requires 95% travel and the travel is generally across the United States.  There may be opportunities for international travel as well.  Hotel, travel, and flight costs are paid for by the company and a daily per diem of $35/day is provided by the company as well to cover additional expenses.    This is a non-exempt hourly position and the hourly rate offered will fall between $26-$30/hour depending on experience. 



General job duties include:


Inspection, repair, upgrade, install, maintenance and startup of boiler cleaning equipment on industrial boilers in the pulp & paper and utility industries. Field Service Technicians will perform control panel troubleshooting, electrical systems repairs, inspect and modify control logic and programming and cover mechanical repairs as well.  


Responsibilities /tasks include:


Perform walk down boiler inspections

Perform equipment repairs and installations (mechanical and electrical)

Perform regular maintenance on electrical and mechanical components


Knowledge, skills, and abilities required: 


Multi craft maintenance mechanical & electrical (50% mechanical and 50% electrical).

Experience with Control Panel software AB PLC’s and HMI systems

Experience with gearboxes, motors, motor starters, rack & pinion, chain drives, controls.

Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Must pass pre-employment drug screen


Previous boiler experience in the Utility or Pulp and Paper Industry a plus.
