Spanish Linguist

Description CLGT Solutions, LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business focused upon providing professional solutions in the areas of training and talent acquisition. This position is not a current requirement; it is for a proposal. We are currently seeking Spanish Linguists to provide translation, transcription, and interpretation. Work is predominately performed remotely, but at times may require coming into the Washington, DC, office two (2) days per week.

The Spanish Linguists will provide services for approximately one year, with a possibility of continuing up to three years total. This opportunity is considered full-time, 40-hours per week, 8-hours per day, and proposed schedules will be reviewed for approval.

Roles & Responsibilities

+ Reviewing Spanish and English records, including documents, audio files, video files, and other e-doc formats in a review platform, and coding and summarizing the content.

+ Listening to audio/video files and drafting summaries and/or transcriptions and translations.

+ Participating in case meetings with ATR staff and outside parties and utilizing Spanish language skills. Staff may require interpretation services.

+ One member of the team will serve as the project lead and perform duties such as developing saved searches based on government attorney requests, creating batches of documents for review, and monitoring the pace and quality of the document review.

+ Performance will be measured based on a quantitative assessment regarding timeliness and quantity of materials reviewed, as well as a qualitative assessment of the analysis performed on the documents.

Education, Experience, & Requirements

+ Must be a U.S. Citizen.

+ Must have, at minimum, five (5) years' experience providing translation, transcriptions, or interpretation, with recent experience providing document review.

+ Must have completed, or be able to complete, an ATR security review process.

+ Must pass a conflict-of-interest check.

+ Native proficiency preferred, but not required.

+ Puerto Rican dialect preferred, but not required.

+ Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) level 3 required in Target language for English and Target language, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening comprehension.

+ Must be detail-oriented, able to work independently with little supervision, and have excellent written and oral communication skills.

+ Must have knowledge and hands-on familiarity with computer applications, in particular document review systems.

+ Must be able to deliver consistently high-quality work under tight deadlines and high pressure.

+ Prior document review experience using automated document review systems is preferred.

+ Prior experience supporting law enforcement, or a legal environment, is preferred.

+ Professional certification and associations are preferred.

Work Environment

Work is predominately performed remotely and will require high-speed internet access. However, at times, there may be a requirement to come into the Washington, DC, office two (2) days per week.

Physical Demands

This position requires frequent sitting and use of hands.

Travel

There is no anticipated travel for this position.
