Job Description

We are seeking a full time Staff Accountant to join our team at CJLC / Craig J Lubitski Consulting LLC!

Diversified responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Review and recording of daily transactions
  • Month end closing of the general ledger
  • Posting journal entries
  • Analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts
  • Performing audit work
  • Preparing individual and business taxes.
  • Processing a/p
  • Prepare and analyze account reconciliations
  • Assist with Preparation of State and Federal Tax Filings
  • Assist in Financial Audits
  • Assist with property and sales tax filings
  • Prepare Cost reports for both DDS and DSS providers
  • Ad hoc projects and analysis as needed

Job Skills and Attributes

  • Strong Knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Utilization of Drake Tax Software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a rapid pace environment with responsibility for multiple clients
  • Strong interpersonal skills

They have extensive experience with both the rate computations and field audit procedures for all levels of care allowing them to assist providers in all aspects of Connecticut Medicaid compliance.

As experts in the intricacies and nuances of Long-Term Care rate setting they have considerable experience in reviewing the reasonableness and allowability of costs in accordance with State Medicaid and Medicare regulations. They are able to quickly identify key issues that are critical in rate setting and preparation of Long-Term Care Annual Reports.

They are fluent in the various reimbursement models utilized for of Long-Term Care and can readily assess issued rates to maximize available reimbursement. CJLC can assist industry providers to prepare for regulatory audits and can identify provider exposure and estimate the impact of audit findings.
