Position Overview : The Program Manager/Agile Champion is responsible for working principally with the IT PMO and delivery teams to fuel our continuing innovation and help us scale by leading delivery for key Strategic Projects and Major Enhancements. You are an Agilist that promotes adaptive portfolio & project planning, evolutionary development and delivery and encourages a rapid and flexible response to emerging needs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities : Initiate and Lead large Strategic Projects and Major Enhancements. Utilize agile methods in a flexible manner that often includes traditional project management which can include hard deadlines/ fixed dates/ fixed costs at times. Facilitate vision and scoping exercises to translate requirements into Minimum Viable Product (MVP) Epics & User stories with Definitions of Done (DoD). Provide status reporting to key stakeholders on a consistent basis. Build trust among team members and manage conflicts & challenges with an emphasis on problem solving and risk mitigation. Coach teams to balance new feature delivery against technical debt. Ensure coordination of shared resources, common activities, and other dependencies across multiple work streams and other initiatives. Facilitate cross-team collaboration and communication between Business & IT departments on priorities, plans, estimates, risks, and progress of work in the overall portfolio. Requirements & Qualifications: Demonstrated Project management skills and proven leadership ability required. 3-5 years of relevant experience using an Agile delivery methodology. Experience communicating and building positive working relationships with business teams. Mindset to build consensus, participating in and facilitating discussions to discover & prioritize solutions, capturing and transforming business and technology requirements into high-quality Epics & User Stories with Acceptance criteria. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred. Agile certification a plus. Experience writing requirements (User Stories, BRDs or PRDs) a plus. Experience managing work planning, monitoring, and reporting with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Monday, Pivotal Tracker, Trello, Wrike, etc...) a plus. Previous experience in Logistics, Warehousing, Transportation, or eCommerce a plus. This role is located at our Corporate Office in Des Plaines, IL and requires that candidates can adhere to a hybrid work arrangement (3 days on site and 2 days remote). Candidates must live within a commutable distance to the corporate office.
