Tasting Room Manager

The Cinder Winery tasting room has been a second home for thousands of loyal Wine Club Members, frequent customers & the broader community since we first hosted visitors in 2008. Hundreds of events, thousands of visits and countless memories have brought accolades including Sunset Magazine's Top 10 Urban Wineries and countless more. Most importantly our Winery Tasting Room has become a fundamental way to provide a living for many of the great people who work here at Cinder.

We need someone highly competent, organized and with an eye for detail to manage the personnel, the space, and the related vendors so that our award-winning Tasting Room continues to shine and meet the highest standards of Hospitality.

Job Responsibilities Include:

Management of Winery Tasting Room & Event Staff

• Training
• Reviews
• Hiring
• Scheduling
• Continuing education
• Contribute to frequent Team huddles to inform on: Tasting Room practices, New offerings, OOS products

Ensure World-Class presentation & appearance of all “Sales” areas including back and front of house.

Ensure World-Class operation of Tasting Room for Regular Hours and All Events

• Scheduling
• Staffing
• Preparation
• Printed Materials

Manage & optimize Sales related software & hardware including:

• Point of Sale (Commerce 7)
• Reservation (Tock)
• Scheduling software (7 Shifts)
• Loyalty Program - Five Star
• Music System (Soundtrack)

Merchandise Program

• Track inventory, ordering, reordering items
• Work with select team members on new item development
• Manage items in POS (new items, sale items and OOS)

Vendor Relationships include

• Supply Vendors
• Merchandise Vendors
• Printing Services
• Food vendors
• Technology Vendors
