Job Description
We are seeking a Part-Time Line Cook to join our team!

And we are currently offering a $500 signing bonus! You will receive $250 after 30 days of employment and the remaining $250 at 90 days. 


  • Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at all times 

  • Restock food items and kitchen supplies in both back and front of house 

  • Manage customer transactions when needed 

  • Complete necessary tasks for both front and back of house 

  • Operate cooking equipment such as flat grills, char broiler, fryer, and slicer 

  • Produce and fabricate food products daily for third party platforms, catering, wholesale, delivery, and commissary needs 

  • Ensure all orders are packed accurately and efficiently 

  • Be aware of all dietary restrictions and concerns of our customers (Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-Free, Food Allergies) 

  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in proper working condition, cleaned, and organized 

  • Prepare food for service (chopping, preparing sauces, etc.) 

  • Know and comply consistently with standard portion size, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies, and procedures 

  • Assist in the tear down and cleanup of kitchen and catering areas when assigned 

  • Maintain safety and sanitation standards to provide the employees and guests with a safe environment 

  • Clean and maintain all preparation, cooking areas, pantry, walk-in, and equipment daily 

  • Maintain the cleanliness of fridges (both display and back of house) and storage areas by strictly following food safety practices and removing expired products 

  • Observe cleanliness of kitchen floor at all times (mopping and sweeping) 

  • Maintain proper inventory at all times 

  • Follow instructions and recipes provided by the Director of Culinary 

  • Maintain knowledge of Choice Market menu and offerings 

  • Support Executive Chef in creating new recipes, which reflect seasonality and cost containment updates 

  • Take ownership from production to the final delivery of the end product 

  • Display soft skills such as effective communication, flexibility, and working well with others 

  • Assist in Retail Merchandising by following First In, First Out method 

  • Assist in receiving and packing out vendor deliveries 

  • Ensure you are completely your Blanket Task list of the day 


  • High school diploma 

  • Proven restaurant or retail grocery experience 

  • Minimum of 1 year of cook to order experience 

  • Customer service experience preferred 

  • Seeking a degree in the hospitality or culinary industries preferred 

  • ServSafe Food Safety Certification - If not currently certified, will commit to completing certification within the first 60 days of being hired 

  • Attendance - Being on time and ready to work scheduled hours are essential job functions always 

  • Familiar with industry’s best practices 

  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures 

  • Working knowledge of a variety of kitchen equipment, which includes but is not limited to fry grill, deep frier, TurboChef, rational, ovens, hood vents, and meat slicer 

  • Must be able to adapt to changes in new menu items and kitchen techniques 

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while keeping deadlines with precision 

  • Must be a team player and be able to help out wherever and whenever needed 

  • Must be a self-starter who can work independently within a team environment 

  • Must be able to read and understand English

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions 

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds 

  • In an 8-hour workday: standing/walking 6-8 hours 

  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling 

  • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching 

  • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals 

  • Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), >90 degrees Fahrenheit 

  • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment 

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
