CGH has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Technical Support IT Manager to join the CGH Team.


Provide technical assistance, support and training to CGH employees.


  • Provide 'Hands On' IT managerial support to all CGH staff in our DC Corporate office and occasional support in our Herndon office including but not limited to network access, software configuration, hardware maintenance and training.
  • Perform user administration tasks on Active Directory (Create users, disable users, add users to distribution groups, etc. and so forth)
  • Perform network administration tasks (managing and configuring shared drives, network access, backups)
  • Manage and inventory IT equipment and assist Accounting department in asset tracking
  • Monitor CGH network and hardware proactively to minimize network outages or downtime
  • Perform computer setup tasks related to new employees (Creating machine images, deploying machine images to new computers)
  • Manage and maintain CGH phone system (Add extensions and voicemail, troubleshoot call routing paths and voicemail)
  • Assist and aid development team in any server-related tasks (minimal shell scripting, permission configuration, SVN setup)
  • Monitor all CGH public equipment to ensure proper performance (Printers, scanners, faxes, projectors, conference room machines)
  • Drive procedure and process improvements throughout organization.
  • Serve as technical and business 'liaison' with third party integration partner (Sysarc).


Number of Years Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 8 years hands on experience required.

Minimum Education and Certifications Required:

  • Bachelors degree
  • MCSE certification preferred

Technical Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in Windows desktop, Windows 7, Windows 2003/2008 Server editions, and MS Exchange 2007/2010
  • Proficiency in Linux and Solaris operating systems
  • Proficiency in Apple software / hardware
  • Experience working in CMMC environment

Computer Skills:

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • U.S. Citizen or person with valid U.S. work visa who has lived in the U.S. for 3 or more years.
  • Strong communication skill Demonstrated ability to communicate and interface with the customer and interpret requirements.
  • Hands on position, not typical helpdesk position.
  • This position requires the individual to be at the corporate site early to help the staff with various IT needs.
  • Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Able to promptly answer support related email, phone calls and other electronic communications.
  • Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
  • Proficiency in hardware maintenance (Desktop computer repair, changing / configuring printers & projectors)
  • Basic understanding of network routing and switching
  • Excellent verbal and written communication a MUST
  • While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear and use a computer/keyboard/mouse for several hours on a daily basis.
  • May require occasional light lifting of up to 40 pounds
