Job Description:
CDM Smith Federal Programs is seeking a Senior Project Manager with the ability to serve the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers South Atlantic Division and its associated districts in the southeast U.S. CDM Smith has provided to high value services to multiple districts of USACE for the over 20 years. We are seeking candidates with the ability to enhance our support to this client and their critical mission for our nation. The successful candidate will lead multi-disciplined project delivery teams in the execution of a variety of design and planning projects. This individual candidate will work directly with our client, state and local stakeholders, and CDM Smith's dynamic technical resources to achieve the mission critical requirements of the USACE Civil Works programs. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to deliver services to CDM Smith's other federal clients including: FEMA, Navy, USCG and NOAA, among others.
Job Responsibilities:
Planning, developing, coordinating, and directing multiple USACE civil works projects concurrently.
Leading multi-discipline project teams, including civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, hydrologic and hydraulic engineering, structural engineering, and transportation engineering.
Estimating resource needs and scheduling and assigning work to meet project milestone dates.
Understanding agency requirements and aligning CDM Smith capabilities to support USACE's planning and design requirements.
Initiating and maintaining relationships with multiple USACE clients.
Supporting the direct marketing and proposal development for USACE related opportunities.
Working effectively with client service leaders, technical strategy leaders, and project delivery teams to position, secure, and deliver quality projects.
Supporting project execution for multiple USACE South Atlantic Division contracts.
Mentoring and staff development including thorough high-quality performance appraisals.
Active participation in relevant industry organizations such as SAME and local posts.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, coastal or chemical engineering or related discipline.
Professional engineering (PE) license.
12 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience and established relationships within the USACE South Atlantic Division.
Demonstrated experience managing and executing USACE design projects.
Current PM certification (either PMP; CCM and DBIA) or ability to receive within 12 months of start.
