Operations Manager

The Operations Manager (OM) will ensure optimal performance and reliability of the environment, coordinate the resolution of operational issues, and act as the liaison with Government personnel to facilitate and ensure the satisfactory delivery of all operational efforts. The Operations Manager shall provide management, direction, administration, quality control, and leadership of the execution of all tasks dealing with operations. This is a hybrid position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Managing Infrastructure, Application, Middleware, and Support Software operations service delivery that includes server administration (Windows and Linux Operating Systems), network administration, database administration (Oracle and SQL Server), security administration, and COTS software administration
• Ensuring compliance with contract Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) and ensuring target metrics, SLAs, and acceptable quality levels (AQL) are met, and taking preemptive corrective actions as necessary to achieve and exceed targets
• Providing reports on operational performance. Actively mitigating risk to ensure high performance
• Maintaining knowledge of existing technologies as it applies to current and future architecture
• Recommending and implementing programs to minimize costs, help ensure optimum output, and maintain quality

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's' degree in Computer Science, Engineering or technical discipline is required, OR 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
• 10 years of experience in infrastructure and application operations including 3 + years in a management capacity on projects similar in size, scope, and complexity to this contract
• Technical understanding and 3+ years performing hands-on administration of one or more of the following: Windows, Unix, Oracle Fusion middleware, Oracle databases, WebLogic, networks, VMware or other infrastructure components
• Hands-on experience delivering operations services supporting Agile Scrum system development methodologies
• Success in leveraging both traditional best practices, such as IT service management practices based on ITIL, as well as emerging methods like DevSecOps
• Strong staff management skills with the ability to mentor and motivate team members to perform at their highest levels supporting the scope of the Call Order.
