GA-CCRi maintains and deploys production systems for users across the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and commercial industry. We build and develop best-in-class all domain and globally focused situational awareness capabilities that process petabytes of data from numerous streaming data sources in near real time. Our systems apply state-of-the-art algorithms and machine learning techniques to extract features and fuse data from multiple phenomenologies to form a rich view of objects in the sky, on the sea, and on the ground.
These analytics are designed to determine not just where something is, but what it is, where it's been and what it is doing. All of this "data to knowledge" is made available to end users in our own browser-based application for visualization, analysis, and understanding. We always want to do more, and that's where you come in! GA-CCRi is looking for a Senior Project Manager / Product Owner for Software Engineering to join our computer vision program.
This program is focused on the automated detection of objects in satellite imagery and the underlying infrastructure that supports imagery ingest, AI/ML processing, and detection export across multiple data sources and multiple modalities of satellite imagery. This team works to develop the end-to-end infrastructure to enable computer vision and analytics workflow within our production system, integrating new data sources and realizing new concepts for interaction with computer vision and satellite imaging data while delivering best-in-class performance to end-users. Locations available in Charlottesville, VA and Chantilly, VA DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and manage software development projects related to computer vision applications, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions within defined timelines.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders, to define project goals, requirements, and deliverables. Develop and maintain project plans, including resource allocation, task prioritization, and risk management. Effectively communicate project status, progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders and senior management. Generate customer requirements in the form of User Stories to help customer and developer understand the value proposition of work. Facilitate and drive the adoption of agile project management methodologies, ensuring efficient project execution and continuous improvement. Mentor and guide software engineering teams in adhering to best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes. Supervise select development staff, providing quarterly feedback and annual reviews. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer vision technologies and software engineering practices, and identify opportunities to leverage emerging tools and frameworks to enhance project outcomes. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth among team members. Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Requirements Essential Qualifications Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related discipline.
May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education. Proven experience (3+ years) in software engineering project management, ideally with a focus on computer vision projects. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with agile project management methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and tools (e.g., Jira). Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS or Azure. Proficiency in microservice architectures, containerization (e.g., Kubernetes), and distributed systems. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, driving them towards project success. Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail. Proactive and self-driven attitude, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS or Azure Active TS-SCI (with CI Poly preferred) Desired Skills and Experience: Certified Scrum Master and/or Certified Scrum Product Owner (Scrum Alliance) Experience with Agile Release Train management Strong knowledge of satellite remote sensing and/or computer vision concepts, algorithms, and frameworks. Experience producing contract deliverables Experience working with the Intelligence Community and/or the DoD Travel Percentage Required (0-10%) Relocation Assistance Provided US Citizenship Required?
