Sanitation Worker - Janitor

Job Purpose:
Participates in and executes day-to-day food service tasks.
Duties:

• Works primarily in assigned department of meal service or sanitation but may be temporarily assigned to
• entry level work in other departments.
• Is trained to competently perform all functions of Sanitation, Dinner Meal Service, Dietary, and Packaging.
• Follows all uniform and personal hygiene standards i.e., hand washing as needed, proper uniform,
• wearing appropriate hair and beard restraints and free of any open obvious sores on exposed areas of
• body.
• Consistently follows all general operational standards as well as department standards.
• Effectively communicates with co-workers to ensure a cohesive and productive work environment.
• Maintains sanitation and housekeeping standards in work areas by and inspects the results.
• Completes posted daily tasks including cleaning, preparation, security, sanitation, and training logs.
• Ensures that that all assignments are fulfilled correctly and consistent with operational guidelines.
• Ensures proper portioning and distribution of products.
• Regularly communicates with supervisor to receive instructions as needed.
• Follows all safety protocols. Uses equipment and tools to perform tasks only after proper training.
• Reports damage to equipment and facility / safety hazards and to manager.
• Keeps work areas free of clutter and cleans spills immediately. Notifies management of hazards that
• cannot be immediately corrected.
• Participates in the communication process by entering information and reading and initialing the
• department’s communication logs.
• Other areas as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, with the ability to follow written and verbal
• instructions
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, based on the business needs of your location
• Authorized to work in the United States
