Job TitleBranch Manager IDEPARTMENT...Member ServiceREPORTS TOAVP of Member ExperienceJOB STATUS:Non-ExemptPRIMARY PURPOSE: To provide members and prospective members with the full range of products and services offered by CBC Federal Credit Union. To create an easy member experience that will result in member loyalty. To oversee, mentor and develop branch personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Practice CBC core values:Make It Right-CBC pledges to do the right thing for our credit union by providing the greatest benefit possible to our members and our communityMake It Easy-CBC pledges to provide easy financial solutions, convenient locations, efficient service and simplified processesMake It Personal-CBC pledges to nurture deep, personal relationships with members, based on their individual needs and preferencesIdentify the financial needs of each member and recommend a product or service that will improve the member's financial life.Supervise, guide and review the work performed by the service staff. Interview/select staff, write performance reviews, counsel employees and take disciplinary action when needed.Coach to NPS standards and expectations.Schedule staff to meet needs of the branch.Coach and mentor staff. Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing regulatory training (BSA, Elder Abuse, etc).Create a development plan for each staff member.
Conduct one on one sessions.Ensure that workstations are properly staffed and available for business throughout the work day.Achieve transactional and relationship survey goals.Achieve branch/share goals.Resolve complex member issues. Adhere to and enforce all credit union policies. Exercise authority to make exceptions to branch service policy and procedures.
Recommend policy changes (to the Chief Service Officer) as needed.Order and receive cash delivered from armored service. Forecast the need for additional cash during peak periods. Maintain maximum security over cash and other negotiable items.
Ensure that dual control policies are adhered to.Monitor and report out of balance conditions to designated personnel. Perform periodic audits of cash drawers and other negotiable items.Perform notary services, if commissioned.Perform Teller duties as required.Perform MSR duties (essential at varied times):Evaluate membership eligibility and process information necessary to open accounts. Submit signature cards to manager daily.
Review, verify and adhere to all CIP and BSA policies and guidelines.Prepare IRA paperwork, process disbursements, transfer requests and submit IRA forms to manager daily. Perform financial counseling regarding member's financial situations.Oversee a satellite branch, if applicable.Work on assigned projects as required.Perform other duties as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and ability required of an individual to satisfactorily perform the essential duties of this job. Knowledge of or ability to learn the credit union's products and services as well as state and federal regulations that are applicable to the tasks performed in this position.Proficient knowledge of branch service principles and procedures.Supervisory skills to include coaching, motivating and helping employees improve performance.
Making self available to staff, and delegating work assignments. Ability to perform duties in a manner as to inspire respect and confidence. Ability to provide feedback and suggestions in a tactful and diplomatic manner.
Provides leadership to staff through example and sharing of knowledge and skill. Member (customer) service skills to include responding promptly to members needs in a timely, friendly and respectful manner. Follow-through on member commitments.
Ability to manage difficult member situations and keep emotions under control. Interpersonal skills to include treating people with respect. Focusing on solving conflict (not blaming) and keeping emotions under control.
