The Title:

Maintenance Manager (Verona, VA)

The Role:
Develop and execute a Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) program including standardizing maintenance processes to drive asset reliability and uptime while leading and supporting capital improvement projects and driving operator accountability programs. Lead a cost effective, service-oriented team supporting the facility and manufacturing operations in achievement of plant KPIs. Safety focused.

What You'll Do:

•Manage, lead, and develop a team of technicians to ensure timely and cost effective repair and maintenance of facility assets

•Coordinate, schedule and perform plant maintenance activities to to ensure safe, continual and efficient operation of all plant machinery and systems.

•Ensure that periodic and preventive maintenance are appropriately prioritized and accomplished and that emergency troubleshooting and maintenance support are readily available as needed

•Provide leadership and training tools for the maintenance department to increase overall maintenance capabilities.

•Develop an ongoing training program for maintenance staff and support operator training programs.

•Manage and coordinate third-party service partners; oversee selection, scheduling, cost and work detail.

•Maintain, procure and oversee the inventory of essential parts and tools necessary to perform effective and productive plant maintenance activities.

•Interpret drawings, diagrams, schematics, specifications, PLC ladder diagrams, etc., and understand hydraulics, pneumatics, electric circuitry, electronics and electromechanical concepts, both AC and DC

•Maintain written and electronic records to ensure adherence to EHS, GMP and PMS requirements.

The Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Maintenance, Industrial Technology or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 7 years' industrial maintenance and facility systems experience (i.e. power, compressed air, vacuum, chill water, steam, fire protection, etc.)
  • Supervisor experience
  • Maintenance knowledge, skills, and abilities in electrical, mechanical, and electronic disciplines
  • PLC experience and ability to troubleshoot issues preferred
  • Understanding of preventive (PM) and predictive (PdM) maintenance techniques
  • Maintenance planning and scheduling knowledge to execute planned work and record unplanned work
  • Maintenance spare parts knowledge to establish stocking levels and sourcing strategies
  • Maintenance metrics knowledge to monitor, optimize and drive continuous improvement
  • Well developed human relation skills to lead, direct, motivate and aid subordinate personnel
  • Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft applications, Outlook, and various maintenance management programs
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and National Electric Codes
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization, contractors and vendors
  • Ability to make decisions under time constraints and tight deadlines


Physical Requirements:

•Ability to maintain work and lead individuals in variety of operating environments, from conference room to manufacturing floor.

•Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details

•Must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds

•Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively

•Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
