Assistant Controller

Job Overview/Summary
•    Provide management with accurate financial information on a timely basis
•    Provide leadership and management of the accounting team to ensure that individual growth,
continuous improvement, and total quality applications are realized
•    Maintain cost/profit operational/product reporting systems
•    Revenue Recognition - appropriate timing/amount of invoicing for all sales
•    Prepare, in conjunction with responses to Internal and External Audit reports and follow-up to ensure
corrective action is both taken and sustained where indicated
•    Responsible for the month-end close coordination, including approval of journal entries and balance
sheet reconciliations prepared by team
•    Manage day-to-day accounting of transactions, policies, controls, and procedures
•    Ensures accurate and complete financial records and reporting, in compliance with legal requirements
and US GAAP standards
•    Coordinate with Controller on technical research and document key accounting policies
•    Ensure accurate and timely month-end close and financial reporting. Continuously improve processes
to scale with the organization
•    Lead the monthly closing and financial reporting process including review of journal entries, account
analysis and reconciliations
•    Assist with treasury management, including accounts receivable and accounts payable oversight, and
company insurance coverages

Successful Candidate Profile

•    BS/BA Accounting and CPA highly preferred
•    10+ years related job experience and at least 5 years managing an accounting team
•    Strong technical accounting skills
•    Intimate with GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley compliance and auditing practicum
•    Strong interpersonal and communications skills
•    Minimum of 3-5 years Cost Accounting experience including proficiency in WIP related transactions
•    Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities simultaneously
•    Proficiency with accounting software packages is required – JD Edwards ERP system, Adaptive
