Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: National Sales Manager is responsible for driving CPN sales while effectively managing multiple broker groups across the USA that work directly with retailers and distributors. The National Sales Manager will also manage key retailer relationships and develop opportunities to increase sales nationwide.

Key Success Factor #1: Achieves annual sales and trade spend goals

  • Develop, implement and achieve strategic sales plans
  • Work within budget guidelines to build sales
  • Track sales performance against objectives and informs management of results
  • Develop sales strategies and new‐item initiatives for accounts
  • Develop account specific promotional plans and programs; track performance, spending and make

adjustments as necessary to maximize ROI.

Key Success Factor #2: Builds effective and motivated national broker network and strong customer


  • Direct and oversee a network of independent sales reps/brokers
  • Establish and maintain working relationship with key customers and national retailers
  • Work with broker principals and reps in market nationwide
  • Motivate and energizes the brokers
  • Represent company at trade shows

Key Success Factor #3: Expand Distribution into New Channels

  • Identify and pursue new retailers to build sales and meet the strategic goals set annually
  • Develop profitable sales proposals for potential customers
  • Assess retail requirements and inform Marketing, Finance and R&D of unique product requirements to

effectively compete

Key Success Factor #4: Effectively communicates, collaborates and builds relationships with internal team

  • Develop, manage and communicate sales forecasts with internal team to inform production
  • Prepare quarterly sales reports showing historical sales volume against budget, and areas of proposed

expansion for the Executive Management Team

  • Coordinate and communicate sales department needs with other departments

Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor degree with 5‐10 years of experience in the field
  • 5‐7 years experience in the beauty industry; natural beauty and natural markets preferred
  • 5‐7 years managing broker (regional and/or channels)
  • 2-4 years managing category reviews from big chain stores (Wholefoods, CVS, sprout, Target, etc)
  • Must be willing to work in an entrepreneurial environment with limited resources
  • Self‐motivated, goal driven and willing to start at the ground floor and scale
  • A proven track record of sales achievement in the beauty industry
  • Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written); Strong analytical and tactical skills; Exceptional
  • organizational skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, with demonstrated mastery of using PowerPoint to create effective
  • Experience in sales presentations as well as Excel for data analysis
  • Up to 50% domestic business travel and ability to work in office setting
