Ecommerce Sales & Marketing Director for Personal Care, Beauty, Cosmetics, Skin Care, Hair & Body


We are seeking an experienced Ecommerce Sales & Marketing Director with demonstrated expertise in direct response marketing techniques that increase sales and expand our customer base. The chosen candidate will define and direct our brand image, voice, and develop our online sales and marketing strategies. He/she must have proven experience increasing sales through multi-channel pay per click marketing strategies, social media advertising, influencer networking and email retention/retargeting. The chosen candidate must be experienced with cross channel marketing platforms ranging from website to Amazon and including major name etailers, and be able to prepare sales projections and P&Ls for new and existing products for each. The chosen candidate must exude a “can-do” attitude and have a proven record of team leadership. She/he will manage a team of creative writers, designers, web developers, and work closely with our media buying team.

Primary duties, responsibilities, and experience requirements include:


  • Responsible for growing our brands as we expand online, deepen our retail footprint, and launch new products.

  • Develop and lead our direct response marketing program and create successful campaigns where your strategies will directly and positively impact sales and customer acquisition.

  • Oversee all e-Commerce operations, enhancing digital channels to increase ROI while directing the e-Commerce strategy.

  • Plan and execute online sales and marketing strategies. Direct strategic goals for revenue and profit targets by preparing reports, reviews, market trends, forecasts, and analysis.

  • Develop marketing strategies for websites and, landing pages, SEO/SEM, Amazon, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, influencer/blogger marketing, etc.

  • Responsible for brand positioning all collateral and storytelling the brand’s differences in consistent and powerful ways that connect with our target audience.

  • Articulate our brand’s voice and story for use in editorial content, advertising, online & retail communications, customer communications and all other outward facing materials.

  • Create, implement, and execute annual sales & marketing plans.

  • Prepare sales projections and P&Ls for new and existing products per channel strategies.

  • Work closely with other departments and Senior Executives to create demand and recognition for the Company and its products.

  • Develop and execute effective marketing programs that drive brand awareness and build a community of active brand fans.

  • Create and implement SEO content and SEM programs.

  • Responsible for creating before and after testimonials, reviews, clinical tests, etc.

  • Create, manage, coordinate and execute all sales & marketing strategies and implement tactical plans that meet and exceed company expectations.

  • Conduct and analyze market research to determine competitiveness.

  • Develop and manage sales & marketing budgets.

  • Responsible for creating, planning and launching new products and go-to-market strategies.

  • Analyze the marketplace to identify ingredient, consumer & shopping trends.

  • Responsible for developing products by identifying potential market whitespace, conducting market research, generating product requirements, determining specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction.



Required Experience:


  • Must be adept in direct response marketing and be able to provide examples of your past successful campaigns and show how your strategies directly impacted sales.

  • Must have experience in online sales and customer acquisition.

  • At least 8+ years of experience in Marketing and Branding, preferably in Beauty.

  • A track record of performance excellence, meeting targets and objectives.

  • Strong analytical, planning, forecasting and budgeting/financial skills.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to articulate a vision and strategy to inspire and motivate a team and focus their energy on achieving business goals.

  • Self starter that is able to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding time frames.

  • Experience managing social media, email marketing, and the brand’s online presence.

  • Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; able to identify, prioritize and articulate highest impact initiatives.

  • Ability to develop, manage and lead teams; excellent time management, and leadership skills.
