C.A. E-COMM is a business unit of C.A. Fortune who ensures consumers can find our clients products anywhere and everywhere, including from the comfort of their couch. E-COMM is a national e-commerce solution team that specializes in selling and marketing consumer products via online platforms. Through robust reporting and analytics along with detailed forecasting techniques, we give each client a customized e-commerce sales solution.

 

Position Summary:

The new Senior Category Analyst will champion the development and maintenance of the go-to-market analytics designed to support, track, and grow core and new product initiatives for all E-COMM retailers and channels. This position will have the privilege of working on our E-COMM clients, including KIND, Shurtech, Speck, Tootsie Roll, Tim Horton’s and more. They will develop and maintain value-added and actionable category management tools, incorporating customer learning and strategic brand insights that will guide sales and business managers to achieve volume and distribution objectives. This position will perform as if they are the category manager, internal consultant, and trusted advisor to our E-COMM clients.

 

Responsibilities:

·    Implement category management strategy to develop fact-based category reviews, business reviews and selling stories.

o   Present business reviews to client, clearly articulating trends and recommendations to optimize strategic planning and selling efforts

o   Develop and deliver presentations relative to new items, product reviews, conversions and impressions.

·    Create, maintain and perfect analytical tools, reporting and resources leveraged against the client.

·    Improve methodology related to reporting, analysis, identifying distribution voids and quantifying opportunity gaps.

·    Analyze shopper and consumer information and develop recommended actions based on insights.

·    Track, monitor and provide actionable feedback on distribution and sales trends.

·    Utilize Amazon Vendor/Seller Central, syndicated and consumer research to develop fact-based analysis and business reviews.

·    Work with the Account Managers to manage the KPI’s by online retailer and determine key opportunities.

·    Evaluate effectiveness of programs and communicate strategy and best practices internally and externally.

·    Conduct promotional planning support via in-depth retailer specific analysis.

·    Ensure a fluid process from data intake, visualization, testing visuals to production.

 

 

Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Traits:

·    MUST HAVE: Prior experience using vendor-side data from Amazon.com (Vendor and Seller Central), Walmart.com or other E-Comm platforms.

·    MUST HAVE: Well-honed analytical and highly advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills.

·    MUST HAVE: Experience in selling story development, category reviews & category management principals.

·    Bachelor’s Degree plus 3-5 years CPG industry sales and category management experience (Natural/Specialty/Organic food and/or beverage preferred).

·    Experience in data visualization platforms (e.g., spotfire, PowerBI) with the ability to understand the data and proof resulting visualizations from raw data reports.

·    Some experience linking external APIs with in-house data visualization tools(s) and databases.

·    Advanced communications skills, ability to clearly articulate complex concepts in a concise manner.

·    A demonstrated competency in multi-tasking and problem-solving with focus on meeting deadlines.

·    Strong analytical and strategic thinker; can turn self-developed strategies/efficient processes into execution.

·    Extremely organized and detail-oriented.

·    Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

 

Travel Requirements: 5-10% to present to client

 

Reporting Structure: Reports to Sr. Manager, Business Intelligence

Compensation:

·       Salary commensurate with level of experience and current market landscape
