Sales Representative - Material Handling

C & B Equipment, a progressive family-owned company that has grown in over 30 years to include John Deere Ag, material handling and power sports locations across eight states, has an opening in its Material Handling division for a Sales Representative located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. A Sales Rep maintains sales management information for all customers in the assigned territory, maintains assigned company vehicles and equipment, conducts new equipment demonstrations, monitors trends in customer’s business activities and provides timely communication to management.
- Maintains sales information for all customers in the assigned territory
- Meets or exceeds sales goals
- Visits clients and potential clients to evaluate needs and/or promote equipment
- Maintains current knowledge of used equipment values
- Has the ability to evaluate equipment properly for trading purposes
- Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new, used and rental equipment
- Conducts demonstrations for customers when equipment is sold
- Attends applicable sales training events/seminars
- Maintain a good working relationship with current customer base
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle, and to maintain insurability with the company's insurance carrier.
- Excellent customer relation skills
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere to acquire new customers
- Knowledge of material handling equipment a plus
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in Equipment Sales
