Performs a variety of maintenance and repair services on buildings, machinery or equipment. Apply skill, experience and general knowledge to a wide range of maintenance tasks. Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete work orders, as assigned in a timely manner. Maintain all electrical equipment, plumbing equipment, air conditioning and heating systems. Work alone or with staff painting, moving furniture, repairing sheetrock, carpentry work, plumbing work and minor electrical repairs. Maintain clean work area. Attend department meetings and seminars as requested. Attend mandatory in-service training. Assist in training other employees as requested by the supervisor or department head. This duty is performed as needed. Adjust schedule or work overtime on occasion to meet departmental needs. This duty is performed as needed. Follow all safety, security, infection control and hazardous materials policies and procedures. Perform all tasks to assure resident safety, personal safety and the protection of co-workers and the facility property. Maintain confidentiality of all organizational information. Follow all company policies and procedures. Maintain and consistently apply knowledge of regulations issued by Arkansas Health Department, Office of Long Term Care, National Fire Code (NFPA), NFPA Life Safety Code, state plumbing code, OSHA and other authorities. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 19 to 23 months related experience and/or training, and 1 to 6 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
