Bushnell Motorsports Park is a 2/3 mile asphalt race track located in Bushnell, FL. The main business is our daily high-speed rental karts. We also host time each day for racers who own their own karts or moto bikes to come out and practice. We have a once-a-month race series’s for kart owners, as well as track rentals for bike races and moto classes.

Bushnell Motorsports Park is looking for a Racing Supervisor for the day-to-day activities. This person would also function as an Event Coordinator for special events.

Racing Supervisor:

Our daily business is high-speed go kart rentals. In addition to a normal small business supervisor role, this supervisor would ensure:

• The proper staff is scheduled and working on a daily basis, and staying on top of their respective job roles (employee supervision)
• The facility is opened and closed each day properly
• The required state regulations and insurance regulations are being followed and corresponding paperwork filed correctly
• The normally daily operations are flowing as they should, and handle any issues as they arise.
• The rental kart customers are receiving a top notch, fun-filled experience.
• The rental karts are in proper condition and are safe for the customers (racing/go kart/mechanic experience is a huge plus, but not required).
• The facility is in good, working condition and the race track is well kept- and scheduling of work when something needs attention (for example, schedule a pressure washer if the building needs to be pressure washed, or schedule employees to fix tire bundles if our tire bundles surrounding the track look like they need attention…etc).
• Keep website updated with current events, pricing and data (very easy- we will show you how)

Event Coordinator:

BMP also hosts a variety of events, such as our once-a-month go kart race for people who own their own karts, a bi-weekly rental kart league, 4-5 traveling go kart races each year, private events, corporate events, birthday parties/bachelor parties, car shows, track rentals, etc.

The event coordinator part of this role would include (but not limited to)-

• Scheduling of workers for the special events
• Updating event graphics to reflect current season/dates and posting on social media/website
• Scheduling food trucks / ambulance crews / other vendors for special events
• Supervising of the event to make sure they go as planned, and dealing with any issues as they arise
• Communicating with customers and scheduling their private events/special events/corporate events, assisting with any room rentals or catering, and supervising the event to ensure the customers event runs exactly as expected
• Booking hotels for out of town workers / regular workers for out of town races
• Ensuring proper insurance/state regulations are followed and paperwork is filed correctly.
• Running the event on the computer to track timing, points and heats.
• Coordinating and running some drivers meetings prior to events
• Other administrative tasks related to these events, before/during/after the event.

If you are looking for a unique job where every day can be different and enjoy racing, then this job might be for you. This person needs to be detail oriented, end-goal/big picture focused, with the ability to communicate effectively to customers. This person needs to be trusted to accomplish tasks without being micromanaged. Know what the goal is, and get us there. We are a small business where everyone pitches in, and some days our projects may vary depending on the day as unique situations may pop up.

The job is mostly Wednesday-Sunday with Monday and Tuesday’s off, unless there is a special event on a Monday or Tuesday. As a small business in the service industry, we do work when other people get to play (evenings and weekends). Again, huge plus if you are familiar with racing/go karts/motors/mechanic work, but not required.

This is a salaried position starting at about 45 hours per week, with the opportunity for commission or bonuses on the uniquely booked private events.
