The Field Service Technician Training Lead will build out the end-to-end Field Technician training program and oversee the delivery of training classes to BusPatrol Field Service technicians.

  • Develop and execute training programs that will drive improvement in critical KPIs (speed, quality, and certifications) to train field service technicians personnel in installation, safety / quality assurance, maintenance, and repair of BusPatrol machinery and equipment
  • Confer with the Advanced Technician Group and Operations Leadership determine training objectives and organizational KPIs for critical roles in the organization
  • Identify and develop teaching tool requirements to improve organizational KPIs and execute training, including virtual and live content development, LMS implementation, curriculum strategies, job aids, and any other tools or system required to support objectives
  • Provide thought leadership around evaluation of course effectiveness and continuously improve the training programs to drive improved results
  • Demonstrate procedures being taught in course outline (i.e., installation, repair, troubleshooting equipment failures, signal verification, usage of measuring equipment, etc)
  • Act as a mentor and training resource to Field Service Technicians
  • Organize and execute trainings

Knowledge and skill requirements:

  • Understanding of modern organizational L&D strategies, instructional design techniques, and the EdTech landscape
  • Ability to instruct others in the application of products in Client environments
  • Apply DBS / Lean principles while coaching and providing mentorship to others.
  • Willingness to think beyond standard content development to identify solutions that drive business results
  • Ability to understand organizational objectives develop learning agenda using analytical and data-driven methods

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience as a L&D Manager٫ Training Manager or other relevant position
  • Experience developing, implementing, and having entire oversight of LMS to include program and project management, instructional design, and curriculum presentation
  • Experience with training functions in field roles (e.g., field service or support) is a plus
  • Experience and interest in joining a fast-paced company with ambitious goals and targets
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Other requirements

  • Travel will be required to training sites (you will help define training strategy and locations of training)
  • Understanding of field service basics (hand tools, power tools)
