Great company located in east El Paso needs a Telecom Administrator.
Maintains current documentation for all telecommunications systems such as phone vectors, VoIP, PBX, IVR, toll free numbers, call management system, trunking and voice announcement scripts.
In collaboration with management and end-users, develop solutions to issues or establish efficiencies pertaining to telecom processes impacting the company.
Configures voice communication to provide for proper routing of calls, voice mail, and other features supported by the system.
Coordinate VoIP, PBX, IVR, and other telecom related services by contracted vendors .
Evaluate the availability of VoIP, PBX, IVR, and other telecom related patches and updates to existing software/hardware and coordinates with Network & Telecommunications Supervisor and the Change Management Committee for implementation.
Provides VoIP, PBX, IVR, and other telecom related preventive maintenance services and ensures technical documentation such as ticket logs, maintenance logs, and configurations are updated on
a timely basis.
Supports the implementation, maintenance, optimization, and enhancement of IVR, VoIP and TDM PBX equipment, facilities and programs.
Supports telecom moves, additions, changes and deploy new hardware and software.
Utilizes network management tools to monitor, evaluate, and report performance statistics of the Call Management System, and LAN/WAN networks including jitter analysis and traffic loads.
Monitors VoIP, PBX, IVR, and other telecom related industry trends, technologies, and standards and be able to research, recommend, and apply new technologies as necessary.
Conducts regular VoIP, PBX, IVR, and other telecom related efficiency analysis to improve service delivery.
Debugs PSTN and PBX issues in analog, ISDN and T1 PRI, IP Flex and SIP environments.
Provides daily support and monitoring of VoIP, PBX, IVR, and other telecom related environments.
CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science,
Computer Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience with VoIP and PBX systems or an Associate’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and 8 years of experience with VoIP and PBX systems.
Cisco collaboration certification a plus.
Familiar with Avaya.
Work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude and strong service skills.
Good knowledge of end-to-end Quality of Service (QoS) design and implementation.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP networks and LAN/WAN switching and routing.
The work schedule is rotating Monday- Friday 7am -7pm and
Saturday 7am -4pm.
