We are looking for a visionary leader with a passion for driving growth and expanding market reach to join our team as our Strategic Accounts Director at Burkhart Dental Supply. The position can be based anywhere in the US, but preference would be in our footprint: WA, OR, ID, AK, CA, NV, AZ, CO, UT, TX, MO or OK.

Purpose: The Strategic Markets Director is responsible for the development and direction of the Strategic Markets business segment by ensuring success through the creation and sound execution of strategies that build sales, drive profitability and help to enhance the reputation of Burkhart Dental. This hands-on role requires process development, project management, sales program creation and data analytics skillsets. Successful candidate must have exceptional communication and proven negotiating skills that result in a competitive advantage in products, pricing, and margins. The goal is to create a Strategic Markets program that is process driven and replicable, consistent, profitable, forward thinking and is easy and enticing for Strategic Markets clients. Strategic Markets are identified as (but not limited to) DSO's, GPO's, Government (Federal and State), CHC's, Schools and focused Skunkworks Projects

What you'll be doing...
  • DEFINE AND EXECUTE STRATEGIC MARKETS STRATEGY that builds Burkhart's profitability, total sales, and market share in the Strategic Markets business segment.
  • BUILD AND DEVELOP CLIENT PARTNER RELATIONSHIPS that exemplifies Burkhart's cultural values. You will attend major trade meetings to drive greater market penetration.
  • NEGOTIATE WITH CLIENTS AND PARTNERS in a way that puts Burkhart at a competitive advantage in terms of products, pricing, margins, chargebacks, and other factors for strategic markets clients.
  • ENGAGE WITH SALES ASSOCIATES in a productive and supportive manner while gracefully leading and managing the process of transitioning Private Practice clients into the Strategic Markets department.
  • COLLABORATE UTILIZING SPECIAL PRICING AGREEMENTS (SPA) PROGRAMS by analyzing and making recommendations regarding business opportunities, working closely with the National Sales Director & Director of Merchandise & Equipment.

What you'll need...
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Communications, Marketing or related field.
  • 5 - 10 years of progressively responsible experience maintaining a client relationship in the Dental or Medical Industry.
  • Demonstrated success in building a sales program from the ground up.
  • The associate must maintain a valid driver's license and be able to travel by car and plane to meetings and events.

Salary Info:
  • Total compensation range of $180,000 to $220,000, which consists of both a salary and eligibility for performance-based incentive pay.

Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.
