Job Description

Summary/Objective

Responsible for accurately gathering all due diligence documents required for various real estate secured loan products, generate loan documentation using the Laser Pro processing system that coincides with various loan products, conditions, characteristics, legal issues, regulation requirements while complying with bank policies and department procedures.

  • Communicates with loan officers on a daily basis to comprehend the loan product, conditions and terms requested and to obtain missing required documentation that the loan officers are responsible for providing.
  • Communicates with borrowers to obtain correspondence necessary for the loan transaction.
  • Communicates with attorneys, settlement agents and insurance agents to obtain necessary information regarding the loan transaction, required and/or missing documentation and legal issues that need resolution in order to perfect the loan transaction.
  • Accurately generates loan documentation that correlates with the loan request and/or loan presentation.
  • Creates documentation to satisfy regulatory requirements and time constraints and ensure that the information generated is documented in the loan file for audit purposes.
  • Requests and reviews title work for any issues that need to be addressed and takes necessary steps to rectify the issues present prior to closing.
  • Requests all required due diligence documents pertaining to all or specific loan products and ensure that the information received is accurate and valid.
  • Responsible for wiring and/or generating cashier’s checks for the disbursement of loan proceeds and ensuring that the financial transaction balances.
  • Addresses all conflicting information present in file and properly documents the loan file.
  • Proper documentation of missing documents prior to closing.
  • Ensures that the post-closing documentation has been executed properly and addresses any issues still outstanding.
  • Establishes and maintains accurate tracking systems for loan portfolio of all outstanding issues and/or loan documentation that are necessary to move the loan from an active to a close status and keep the loan officers updated of the outstanding issues.
  • Ensures that the end loan products (documentation) are accurate and professionally presented.

Other Duties

  1. Complies with all policies and procedures as applied to the Bank's BSA/AML policy.
  2. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of various collateral secured transactions, loan products, and legal issues related to loan lending and regulatory requirements.
  • Must be organized.
  • Ability to multi task and work under pressure with high work volume.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Computer literate.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to stay abreast with compliance regulations and bank policies.

Education and Experience

  • High School or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in loan operations, or work experience related to loan closing.
  • Microsoft Works

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face to face meetings, and on the computer.

Physical Demands

This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and opening cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.

Travel

Travel may be required for this position.
