Bully Pulpit Interactive (BPI) is seeking an experienced, innovative, strategic and passionate Senior Analyst to join our growing Research team.

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has spent time working with data at a strategic research firm, in corporate communications, on campaigns, or in the government. They should thrive and enjoy fast-paced environments, understand the pace and flow of client expectations while striving to exceed them, and be experienced working with clients and teams across multiple states and time zones.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing data processing, as well as developing new approaches to targeting and analytics across offline and online tactics. We are looking for a strong critical thinker and data enthusiast willing to help us tackle our toughest challenges. We need people who are ready to solve problems and combine a data-driven mindset with an instinct for creating read-able data that clients and others can read and understand.

In this role you will be expected to:

  • Work on corporate, public affairs, political and other client related research projects
  • Serve as lead data analyst to process, recode, and weight raw survey data
  • Create client deliverables such as toplines, crosstabs, and time series analyses
  • Advise other analysts on survey design and methodology
  • Execute analytics, measurement, and targeting strategy for marketing campaigns across political, corporate and advocacy clients
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the team and clients as directed


We're looking for someone who has/is:
  • 2 - 4 years' experience with polling, surveys, research methodology, quantitative data and analysis
  • Experience and familiarity with quantitative research, data analytics, and statistical analysis techniques
  • Experience analyzing and manipulating data using R, SQL,Python, SPSS, or Crunch
  • Survey program experience - familiarity with Alchemer or Decipher is a plus
  • Familiarly with voter file and voter analysis a strong plus
  • An understanding of relational databases and how to access/analyze them with languages such as R and SQL
  • Experience manipulating and analyzing large data sets (in Excel, SQL, R, SPSS or another programming language or statistical package)
  • Strong attention to detail and data proofing
  • Great written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional analytical, decision making and time-management skills
  • Excels in fast-paced work environments and juggling multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Outstanding collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and self-directed
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with GitHub a plus


Location: Can be based out of our New York, Washington DC, San Francisco or Chicago office - hybrid work schedule available.

Employee Status:Full-Time, exempt

Salary & Benefits:
  • The minimum salary expectation for this particular position is $60,000 and can increase dependent on relevant experience
