Job Description

The Manager, Performance Marketing is a champion and the leader for full-funnel performance marketing at Build-A-Bear. They will be responsible for channel and campaign planning, agency management, measurement and accurate and on-time delivery of Performance Marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate is data-driven, has a passion for digital advertising, driving results and excels at building strong relationships (internal and external).


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and effectively collaborate with a variety of internal and external partners to define requirements, creative and messaging, solicit feedback and confirm campaign and promotional details (timing, budget, messaging and expected outcomes)
  • Develop and lead Performance Marketing media mix & spend strategy and budget planning
  • Oversee and manage campaign execution, optimization, and delivery, ensuring campaigns drive qualified traffic and exceed KPI goals
  • Ensure campaign and asset production (i.e. search copy) are complete, accurate and on-time
  • Review, interpret and communicate campaign, creative and budget performance to executives and peers
  • Champion campaign and creative insights, gaps, areas of opportunity or areas of misalignment to help the organization understand and act on product, content, creative, and tagging & measurement opportunities
  • Conduct daily campaign and KPI analytics to determine the best campaign settings, uncover delivery issues, find optimization opportunities and discover new approaches
  • Hold responsibility for maintaining a testing roadmap, and regularly conduct a variety of digital experiments
  • Work continuously on resource and ad efficiency and process optimization
  • Stay current with Google, Meta and other Performance Marketing best practices and emerging trends
  • Leverage a range of available reporting tools to understand campaigns; including, Paid Platforms (Meta, Google, etc.), Web Analytics (Google Analytics), Datorama and other tools (as directed)
  • Develop and maintain a consistent reputation as a self-starter, technical expert, collaborative and effective partner
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of day-to-day Paid Social and/or Paid Search campaign execution, strategy and management (in-house or agency) required
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Google Ads and/or Facebook Ads required
  • Experience in TikTok advertising strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in using digital platforms to conduct campaign experiments preferred
  • Google Analytics, Facebook Blueprint, and/or Google Ads Certified, preferred
  • Experience working in and leading the strategy for building digital marketing campaigns
  • A high-level of knowledge of digital marketing platforms and metrics, with an understanding of campaign settings and new innovations
  • Excel enthusiast and power user with proven experience building forecasts, analyzing campaign performance, and budgeting in spreadsheets
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Datorama, Power BI, and/or Google Data Studio is a plus
  • Managerial skills with capabilities to delegate and motivate staff
  • Strong analytical reasoning and planning and organization skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
