Mergers & Acquisitions Paralegal

We are seeking a transactional Paralegal to work in our Mergers & Acquisitions Department. The position involves management of fast paced, team oriented and document intensive corporate merger and acquisition projects and voluminous workload for the department. Additional duties of this position include drafting corporate documents, assisting with corporate formations and managing client relationships through email or phone communication.

This position focuses on meeting tight deadlines and is a great opportunity for a Paralegal with real estate, mergers & acquisitions, and/or corporate law experience who wants to grow in their career. The legal experience that is required includes 5+ years of merger and acquisition experience of all types, as well as the buying and selling of assets and real estate, the overseeing of real estate escrows and the formation of legal entities (corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships). Previous experience with drafting ancillary documents for M&A transactions, knowledge of data rooms, and closing deals is preferred.

Qualified applicants should have organizational and computer/word processing skills, the ability to independently multitask and manage several merger and acquisitions projects at one time, with approximately three to four closings per month. Individuals with experience from the mortgage banking, escrow and title industries with similar fast-paced closing skills will be strongly considered. Experience with dictation or transcription and typing speed of 60-70 wpm is preferred.

Flexibility of work schedule will be necessary when the team is working on closings.
