In the summer of 2020 they expanded, adding a 2nd location at the editorial darling, Platform in Culver City, California. Now their WOC-owned & Family-Operated Business is coming to Honolulu, Hawaii in 2022, where the Founder resides with her family. It’s an exciting time to join our Ohana as we put down roots and build our team in Hawaii.

ABOUT THE RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE POSITION:
The Retail Sales Associate plays a pivotal role by serving as the face of our family-owned and operated brand. By providing excellent, high-touch customer service, practical product knowledge and creating a genuine, warm & welcoming atmosphere. The ability to build strong customer relationships, work with Honolulu’s international customer base, multi-task and work autonomously are critical. The Sales Associate will be expected to provide back-end support with our inventory management system and online fulfillment.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Service

  • Establish a superior level of customer rapport focused on building relationships, tailoring experience/offerings/selections to individual customer needs
  • Acquiring and maintaining a high level of product knowledge through training & research
  • Communicating about sales trends & customer feedback to manager & team
  • Keeping our regular clientele informed of current and future merchandise offerings and special events

Store Operations:

  • The ability to perform all store opening and closing duties consistently and efficiently
  • Facilitate checkout process with accuracy and timeliness using Square POS
  • Process shipments and online orders
  • Ad hoc tasks and assistance with projects & special events as needed relevant to business priorities
  • Assist with back-office tasks such as inventory audits

Sales Floor and Store Maintenance:

  • Ensure products, fixtures and stock areas are clean, fresh, shoppable and safe
  • Uphold high visual merchandising standards across all store departments
  • Daily restocking

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-3 years of experience in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment
  • Experience with an electronic POS (Square) and understanding of inventory management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail balanced with "big picture" thinking and a high standard for excellence and pride in the work that you do
  • Proficiency with cloud-based POS/Inventory Management Systems and Excel a strong plus.
  • Availability on weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Fluency in Japanese, Mandarin, Korean a plus!
