Warehouse, Shipping and Receiving Clerk

We are seeking a collaborative team member with a friendly work style, who's well-organized, detail-oriented and able to effectively manage the shipment and receipt of all parts, products, materials, and supplies along with warehouse maintenance and support.

  • Establish an organized workspace that is efficient for shipping and receiving products, meets safety guidelines, and ensures there are no tripping hazards. Maintain a clean, neat and customer ready area.
  • Collaborate and communicate with departments and individuals regarding the shipment and receipt of products. Allocate inbound materials to their proper locations including incoming stock and PO items as it arrives in designated stock locations.
  • Work with each department to learn the specifics of what to be looking for on the packing slips and packages. Check packing slips for accuracy and notify procurement or shipper of any discrepancies.
  • Assist in loading and unloading of trucks as required.
  • Provides additional backup support for Parts department as needed.
  • Perform to an established methods and standards; meeting or exceeding the departments safety, quality and productivity goals.
  • Utilize down time for organization and placement of forklift, pallet jacks, pallets, boxes to keep the aisles as clear as possible for safety.
  • Engage with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
  • Be familiar with all shipping manifests, UPS WorldShip, etc. to be prepared for any outgoing shipments that are requested to be shipped.
  • Work with vendors to ensure all shipments are delivered at the loading dock and have the ability to do so with all size trailers.
  • Establish courier services and processes for the ability to expedite spontaneous deliveries of importance as needed by departments and customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Desired Skills & Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2-3 years of experience as a Material Handler
  • Experience with a variety of material handling equipment including forklift and pallet jack a plus but not required.
  • Basic Computer skills and knowledge. Familiarity with MS Office applications, specifically Excel and Word. MS 365/SharePoint a plus
  • QuickBooks experience a plus

Compensation

  • Salary range of $17-$19/hour based on experience that includes options for benefits.
