Countertop Sales Rep

Our client is one of the premier custom countertop installers in the San Diego area. They are looking for a countertop sales rep to join the team who will pioneer business development efforts in both the commercial and residential space.

The right candidate will be responsible for developing new business for a well established high-end, custom countertop company. This position is NOT entry level and requires previous, proven success in business-to-business relational selling. Knowledge of the stone countertop industry is a MUST.

Responsibilities:

• Pioneer new business development in the San Diego market
• Big Box (Lowes/Home Depot)
• Custom Home Builders
• High volume production/residential homes
• Design Studios/Showrooms
• Commercial (office parks, strip malls, etc)
• Long term opportunity to develop and manage a sales team and work alongside the owner with significant influence over the companys vision and direction.
• Develop sales team skills to ensure monthly sales and KPI targets are met
• Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; project sales volume and profit margin for existing and new products.
• Create sales bids and oversee contract negotiation.

Requirements:

• 2 - 5 years countertop sales experience OR cabinet design OR custom kitchen and bath sales experience
• Able to sell products on margin and understand how to generate higher revenue through increase margin
• Self motivated to seek new clients and build relationships - hungry for eat what you kill, commission based pay environment
• Adept in building rapport, ability to move new deals across the finish line with accuracy and speed

Compensation:

• $100,000 - $130,000 annual gross income
• Base: $50,000
• Commission: 3% profit margin // 7% on countertop upgrades
