About the Position
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for strategically growing revenue and managing business with some of our client's top large pharma and biotech accounts in the Bay Area. The Key Account Manager will be a polished and experienced commercial sales representative that works consultatively with customers and applies solution selling techniques to offer value and support client research workflows and goals. The Key Account Manager will have an established track record of closing large deals with commercial accounts and will leverage a tactile sales approach to expand business with strategic partners. This is a sophisticated and high-visibility sales role that offers significant potential for advancement opportunities within the company.
About the Job Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial sales experience in a technical Life Science area
- Established Rolodex and client portfolio across large pharma and small to medium-sized biotechs in the Bay Area
- Technical background in Molecular Biology or Cell Biology and possesses a firm understanding of early drug discovery workflows and processes
- Strategic sales approach and experience managing business and growing with key commercial accounts
- Consultative and applies solution selling techniques
- Relationship builder and highly customer focused with excellent account management and business development skills
- Team player that works well in a matrixed sales environment
- Passionate about being on the cutting-edge of science, thrives in a fast-paced sales environment, and a self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit and drive
- B.S. in Biology required. MS/Ph.D. or Researcher experience is preferred
