Dispatch

Responsible for scheduling and supervising the activities of several drivers. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the general management of drivers:

• Plan, organize, or manage the work of drivers and warehouse staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with company requirements.
• Collaborate with other managers or staff members to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, or objectives.
• Implement schedule or policy changes for drivers and warehouse staff.
• Monitor operations to ensure that staff members comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, environmental policies, or government regulations.
• Promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits, attending company safety meetings, or meeting with individual staff members.
• Direct investigations to verify and resolve customer complaints.
• Prepare management recommendations, such as proposed schedule changes.
• Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, or tracking transportation vehicles.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
• Valid Drivers' License with a safe driving history.
• Prior experience managing a fleet of drivers is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
• Geographical knowledge of the service is a must!
