Job Description

I.     Position Title: Office Manager

II.    Status: Hourly or Salary

III.   Evaluation:  90 Day Introductory Period with evaluation verbal or written

IV.   Duties/Responsibilities:

  a.       Responsible for supporting daily operation of the agency which includes private duty care and the staffing of all health care professionals of the agency.

  b.     Responsible for payroll and billing unless assigned to another staff member. 

  c.     Responsible for supporting recruitment, selection, and evaluation of all employees within the agency

  d.     Responsible for enforcing adherence to agency guidelines

  e.     Responsible for coordinating and overseeing client care and conduct client satisfaction calls and follow up

  f.      Responsible for coordinating and supervising orientation and continued education to agency staff

  g.     Responsible for adherence of staff to policies and procedures of agency

  h.     Responsible for adherence to financial budget

  i.      Responsible for adherence to all federal and state mandates that refer to home and community support agency and compliance thereof.

  j.      Responsible for the accuracy of all public accessible information and activities of the agency

  k.     Work in cooperation with Briggs Home Care Corporate Executives and staff

  l.      Must be able to conduct service including but not limited to coordinating scheduling, dealing with issues related to services, and take intakes after hours per appropriate rotation.  This includes weekend on-call and weekly on-call.

  m.    Must be able to meet expectations of coordination of care for services hired by families of agency

  n.     Must be able to deal appropriately with employee issues along with holding those working for agency accountable to policies

V.  Qualifications:

  a.      Experience:   provide scheduling for clients and caregivers; human resources; operational oversight; marketing; and problem solving.

  b.      Special Skills:  Strong management, communicative skills, and computer proficiency. 

  c.      Must be able to work independently and within a team. 

  d.      Must pass a criminal history check as well as the National Sex Offenders database check.

  e.       Physical/Psychological Demands:

            i.      Visual and auditory acuity

            ii.     Ability to lift, stoop, push, and pull.

            iii.    Must be able to cope with death and/or severe diseases/disorders and the families who suffer them.

VI.  Special Requirements:

    a.      Must be able to handle stress when dealing with family’s personal issues.

    b.      Must participate in coordination of care activities.

VII.  Reporting:

  a.       Reports to Executive Director.
