Marketing and Communications Manager
Urban Development and Improvement Nonprofit
Northern New Jersey (Hybrid)
Terrific Marketing and Communications Manager position with an urban development and improvement nonprofit in Northern New Jersey. The Marketing and Communications Manager will join a highly collaborative team and ensure that the organization's messaging is consistently presented to various stakeholders across all communications and marketing channels. This includes all social media, internal and external communications, digital and print collateral, and event promotions. This position will also be integrally involved in the planning and management of various events, including farmers markets and seasonal festivals. The role will manage a Marketing Associate and a Social Media Influencer. Qualified candidates should have approximately 3-5+ years of relevant experience. Experience with event management is a requirement for this role. This position currently operates on a hybrid schedule and is located in Northern New Jersey. The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 per year.

  • Lead the organization's marketing and communications strategy
  • Produce marketing materials, including newsletters, event collateral, website content, and annual reports
  • Develop and enhance events to increase engagement in the area
  • Contribute to event management and planning including budgets, schedules, and day of coordination
  • Create communications for high-level events including press releases, talking points, and briefing papers
  • Ensure the social media strategy is implemented by the Marketing Associate and Social Media Influencer
  • Support media relations activities
  • Approximately 3-5+ years of marketing and communications experience, including time in a supervisory role
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience with event management and planning
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Interest in urban revitalization
