This new position has been created due to the company’s significant growth. The Controller will lead the development and strategic oversight of the company’s finance and accounting functions.

Reporting to the CEO, the Controller be responsible for the monthly close process, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, internal controls and building a team to handle the day-to-day accounting and finance functions. Qualified candidates will have approximately 7 to 10+ years of relevant experience with increasing responsibilities, including management. Salary commensurate with experience.

Bonus potential.. Responsibilities:. Oversee the accounting and finance functions for the company at the strategic and tactical level.

Hire, manage and mentor a team to handle day-to-day financial and accounting operations, as needed. Prepare and present financial statements To management in accordance with GAAP. Cash management, including cash flow projections and oversight of AR and AP.

Integral in the budgeting process, forecasting/projections and strategic planning. Ensure the firm is following all regulatory/compliance accounting guidelines. Lead the financial close process.

Review business processes and make recommendations for improvement. Establish and maintain internal controls. Point person with the external auditors on the year-end audit process.

Analyze performance and improve efficiencies throughout the firm (Revenues and expenses). Review accounting components of business contracts and agreements. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:.

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related required; MBA and/or CPA a plus. 7 to 10+ years of experience in accounting and/or finance positions of increasing responsibility, including at least 3 years supervising direct reports. Exceptional communication skills, effective time management, sense of urgency and action oriented.

Ability to assess matters of importance from a GAAP perspective. Exceptionally strong analytical ability; detail orientated. Advanced Excel skills required; knowledge of QuickBooks
