At our Martinsburg facility we have an immediate opening.
Hours are 8:00 AM– 5:00 PM Monday thru Friday.
Here are the major Responsibilities:
Direct supervision of up to 9 employees – with responsibility for interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisals and discipline.
Ensure adherence to company safety standards, policies and procedures. Insure maintenance staff correctly wears and uses safety equipment, as required. Also, insures that all safety inspections are completed as required.
Work with manufacturing, maintenance, and compliance managers to conduct regular on-site safety meetings and insure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, Workers ’ Compensation, and Hazard Communications. Insure that all hazardous materials are properly labeled, stored, and handled.
Maintain systems for monitoring and tracking service requests, preventive maintenance work performed compliance with Hazard Communications program requirements, compliance with safety requirements, supplies and parts inventories, purchases, and turn-key operations.
Keep storage and shop areas in a neat, well-stocked, clean, organized manner.
Maintain sufficient inventories of tools, parts, and supplies in order to properly maintain the equipment and facility.
Order and purchase supplies, equipment and contract work according to required purchasing and bidding procedures.
Prioritize and schedule maintenance employees according to forecasted workloads.
Work with the maintenance manager to hire, train and develop on-site maintenance employees according to company policy and procedure.
Work with the manufacturing manager to counsel and review maintenance employees as necessary and as required by company policy and procedure.
Work with maintenance employees and other staff to develop an effective, proactive team that works together to achieve maintenance objectives.
Ensure adherence to plant wide service standards. Work with maintenance staff to ensure that maintenance issues are dealt with in a timely manner and that proper follow-through is done.
Interact with the other departments to ensure the proper functioning of all systems.
Actively participate with the plant’s safety committee.
Qualified candidates should possess:
A minimum of ten years in the Maintenance/Engineering field and three years supervisory experience is preferred.
High school diploma with additional courses in electrical, plumbing, building maintenance and machine operation. Knowledge of HVAC is preferred.
Reasoning ability; mechanical abilities; troubleshooting abilities; computer skills.
Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.
Should have good leadership and organizational skills and the ability to motivate team members.
Other qualifications we’re looking for include tow motor operation, Blue Print reading, Safety – fire extinguisher, First Aid, CPR etc.
