At our Martinsburg facility we have an immediate opening.
Hours are 5:00 AM– 4:30 PM Monday thru Thursday.
Here are the major Responsibilities:
Direct supervision of up to 25 employees – with responsibility for interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisals and discipline.
Responsible for production scheduling to include: work station assignments/rotations, employee training, vacations, breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
Interpret product specifications, blue prints and job orders to machine operators.
Maintain and provide manufacturing information by compiling, sorting and analyzing performance records and data.
Maintain work flow by monitoring production process, equipment and personnel and establishing process variables to meet production goals.
Facilitate engineering activities in support of new product and process introduction.
Recommend measures to improve production methods, efficiencies, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Ensure operation of the equipment - report process issues and initiate maintenance requests.
Complete shift paperwork and communication with other shift supervisors and Production Manager.
Assist in production as necessary.
Qualified candidates should possess:
The ideal candidate will have previous production and supervisory experience.
Experience in the plastics manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
Assembly experience is required.
Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ experience is preferred, but we will consider those with equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other qualifications we’re looking for include tow motor operation, Blue Print reading, Safety – fire extinguisher, First Aid, CPR etc.
Ability to lift: 10 lbs. regularly, 25 lbs. frequently and occasionally lift/move up to 100 lbs.
