PT Contributions Accountant



Department:     Business Office

Reports to:         Controller

Job Status:         Part-Time, 18-20 hours per week

FLSA Status:       Non Exempt

The Brentwood Baptist PT Contributions Accountant shall be responsible to the church, under the direction of the Controller, and supervision of the Full Time Contributions Accountant, for making weekly offering deposits, for posting all offering for the week to contributor’s statements, and making other miscellaneous weekly deposits for all ministries of the church.


PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following:

·       Supervise volunteers and count Sunday offering.

·       Count and post all Sunday contributions for the Brentwood and Other Campuses, including Deaf and Chinese.

·       Backup Full-Time Contributions Accountant in the counting and posting of Sunday contributions for all other campuses.

·       Balance Sunday contributions to the General Ledger for all campuses.

·       Process all miscellaneous deposits (non-contribution) for all ministries of the church.

·       Prepare acknowledgment and donation letters.


OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following:

·       Provide backup to Full-Time Contributions Accountant.

·       Assist with contribution statements as needed.

·       Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.

·       One to two years related experience and/or training in Accounts Receivable.

·       The individual should possess strong analytical skills, computer skills, and have working knowledge of the systems and word processing and spreadsheet programs used by the church.
