Essential Functions

  • Coordinate and organize meetings, and other activities and functions. May schedule or obtain use of rooms and may set up rooms and equipment for use.
  • Maintain recurring internal reports, such as time and leave records, office equipment listings, correspondence controls, and training plans.
  • Answer phones, transfer to the appropriate staff member, and take and distribute accurate messages.
  • Greet public and internal guests and direct them to the correct staff member.
  • Requisition supplies, printing, maintenance, or other services.
  • Maintain office files and develop or modify filing practices, including the use of electronic rather than paper records.
  • Assist in archiving files and records. Assist in various records management-related projects involving the preparation of records for transfer and/or storage.
  • Perform research and data-gathering activities and may prepare reports or summaries of information.
  • Prepare and maintain reports or records and other statistical or quantitative data.
  • Monitor incoming emails, and mail and forward/distribute appropriately.
  • Assist in security checks for personnel and provide support and assistance in maintaining or updating existing Personnel Security databases/systems.
  • Travel will be required within the DC/MD/VA area.

Education/Skills/Experience Requirements:
  • Entry-level; minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • File management proficiency with electronic and paper records
  • Proficient and professional verbal and written communication

Desired Knowledge/Skills
  • Either an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in scheduling.
  • Experience in organizing meetings.
  • Experience in audio-visual equipment set-up.
  • Experience in managing office supply inventory.
  • Perform research and data-gathering.
  • Experience in document control.
  • Transporting of sensitive and/or classified documents.
