Biomedical Engineer

Our client is a leading manufacturer, marketer, and distributer in the clinical laboratory
marketplace. They supply clinical diagnostic test kits and devices that are specialized in
hematology and colon cancer. They are a world leader in non-invasive colorectal cancer screening
technology, and have evolved into a highly skilled and successful marketing, sales, and
manufacturing organization.
We are currently looking for a Biomedical Service Engineer to join the team!
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsibilities include traveling, installing, training, troubleshooting, repairing and performing
preventive maintenance on all company diagnostic instrumentations on-site and off-site.
-Responsible for high quality day to day phone support responding to customer inquiries, providing
technical support, customer training on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
-Must be self-motivated with excellent communication skills, a team player, and the ability to
operate with minimum supervision.
-Work on new test systems, make recommendations and assist in developing and writing test
procedures, standard operations protocol, and develop training material.
Skills/Qualifications:
-Strong knowledge of medical instrument systems technology to include mechanical, electrical and
fluidics. Knowledge of chemistry and software is a plus.
-Strong knowledge of lab equipment and tools such as: soldering irons, digital volt meters, power
supplies, temperature measurement equipment, etc.
-Ability to disassemble, troubleshoot and re-assemble instrument sub-assemblies.
-Must have excellent communication skills and be able to interface with customers and associates in
a positive professional manner.
-Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
-The ability to think and act in a logical and methodical way.
-Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and be able to utilize computer-based tools for reports, email and for general communication.
-Have the ability to solve complex mechanical / system problems utilizing technical manuals,
publications, and engineering support.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates have 3-5 years experience of servicing clinical diagnostic and
laboratory equipment, bachelor’s degree in EE, Biomedical Engineering preferred, Medical
