As of the 2021-2022 school year, 3,800 across five campuses will have taken the Braven Accelerator (Rutgers University-Newark, San José State, Lehman College, Spelman College, and National Louis University). About the Role The Program Manager of Recruitment is a masterful programmatic operator responsible for recruiting 150-200 Fellows (students) into the Braven Accelerator course at Rutgers - Newark per semester —and increasingly higher numbers of Fellows in subsequent semesters. Reporting directly to the Site Director, the Program Manager – Career Development and Enrollment Strategy will work extensively with Rutgers - Newark faculty and staff, Fellows, PAFs, program alumni, volunteers, employer partners,and local organizations to contribute to the effective growth of Braven. Specifically, you will: What You’ll Do Student Enrollment- 85% Develop vision, strategy, and tactics to effectively enroll between 150-200 students a semester into the Braven course Use Salesforce to manage, track, and analyze recruitment data and pipelines, as well as use data to make strategic pivots Analyze recruitment data weekly to inform recruiting strategy Coordinate, execute, and support recruitment presentations and materials Support cultivation and management of college partnerships and K-12 relationships including research, meeting preparation, data tracking, and communications Recruit and manage PAFs to serve as interns and volunteers Share design input and feedback with Braven’s External Affairs team on marketing materials Maintain high engagement with enrolled students, as to ensure attrition is minimized A+ Team - 15% Participate in individual annual and quarterly planning and all team events Manage overall hiring process (recruit, hire, onboard and manage part-time student interns) for PAF roles on Braven’s team What We’re Looking For (Did you know that research shows that women and people from underrepresented groups often apply to jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications? The ideal person will be extremely driven, customer-service and results-oriented, entrepreneurial and highly resourceful, and excited to dive into an early-stage organization poised to change the educational landscape. At Braven we look for people who do what it takes and operate with humility and hunger. 1-3 years of experience with a verifiable track record of achieving excellence and successful outcomes; Strong facilitation and public speaking skills Coaching and mentoring students in career development Experience managing and developing people, particularly managing through others; Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; High degree of flexibility and adaptability, excels in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and is comfortable with ambiguity; Proven ability to create, operationalize, and manage project plans, meeting milestones and deadlines; Data-driven manager: track record of using data and metrics to drive decisions and measure performance; Strong alignment with, passion for, and commitment to the mission and values of Braven; Bachelor’s degree required Additional Requirements Ability to work in-person in Newark, NJ Authorized to work in the US Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (plus booster) and provide proof of such by the date of hire. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this position, which depends on prior work experience and our assessment of your fit for the role, will likely be between $55,700-$69,600. Braven offers competitive base salaries based on the midpoint of the market among not-for-profit organizations of similar size, with opportunities for salary growth over time. We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact on behalf of the organization, and take internal equity seriously. Given our commitment to equity and the inequities that can emerge from salary negotiations, Braven does not negotiate salary offers; instead each salary offer is determined carefully upfront using benchmarking. Therefore, we require teammates to live within commuting distance of Newark, NJ. Each teammate can use one flex day of their choosing per week to work remotely.
