This is a Part-Time Position
Summary: The Engineering Administrative Assistant duties are split 25-50% to administrative duties and 50-75% to maintenance repair duties. Performs a wide variety of administrative and maintenance duties essential to the success of the engineering department. These tasks are performed on a daily basis to assist in ensuring guest/employee/owner satisfaction.This position reports to the Chief Engineer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Other duties may be assigned.
Search for and order parts as need to complete tasks.
Invoice and track in the "checkbook" ordered parts.
Prepare the monthly Summary for Accounting.
Prepare the monthly Engineering report for the Chief Engineer.
Assist Chief Engineer with paperwork as needed.
Organizes and maintains filing system of all records:
Makes copies of printed materials
Orders and maintains supplies
Arranges for and engages in equipment maintenance
Maintains general tidiness & cleanliness of office space
Assists in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs and is competent in searching, identifying, and ordering parts on line
Maintains thorough knowledge of resort layout, room names, capacities, and set-ups
Maintains a positive attitude towards the resort and the job being performed
Maintains a safe attitude, conducts all job duties in a safe manner, and reports all work related accidents immediately
Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other resort associates to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate
Carries out all reasonable requests by management which the associate is capable of performing.
Knows and demonstrates the Coral Hospitality 3 Steps of Service and the 15 Basics of Service in the performance of the daily responsibilities.
The resort functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours per day. All employees must realize this fact and be aware that it may be necessary to adjust the employee's work schedule from his/her accustomed shift due to business demands.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to complete maintenance repairs on equipment.
