Programming, setting up, and operating flatbed CNC router machines in order to route and mill plastic parts within specifications. Responsible for maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, maintaining equipment and supplies.
Credentials & Experience:
Minimum 2 years previous CNC flatbed router operation experience
Experience with Alpha Cam or other CAM software
Experience with ERP software ( Sage 100 a plus)
High school diploma or equivalent
Bilingual English / Spanish a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Able to successfully set up, pre-program, and run production as specified.
Comfortable using tools and maintaining machinery
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Solid computer skills.
Solid math skills
Able to read basic measuring devices and technical drawings, diagramed instructions.
Able to manually move X, Y, Z, axis while in Jog Mode.
Able to perform physically demanding work – standing for long periods of time, bending, twisting. Lifting up to 75 lbs. Frequent movements of hands, wrists, and arms. Visual acuity – able to see objects less than a few feet in distance.
Set up routers (fixtures, tools, speed, etc...) to successfully conduct the run as specified
Oversee cutting process, make adjustments throughout each job, catch mistakes as they happen and take necessary measures to eliminate errors
Performs secondary operation set ups according to work instructions
Inspect all completed parts for accuracy and uniformity based on criteria
Correctly complete work tickets and enter counts into Sage ERP program.
Direct temporary workers in their job functions
Must comply with all safety rules.
Perform daily, weekly and monthly maintenance tasks to ensure machine longevity, including lubrication, cleaning and tool replacement.
Maintain a clean and organized work center per 5S standards; (Straighten Up, Sort, Sweep, Standardize, and Sustain).
