Self-esteem is earned one accomplishment at a time and cannot simply be prescribed therapeutically. Through instruction and practical application, Boys Republic youth follow a structured program of learning opportunities in academics, work experience, student government and group interaction. Each personal accomplishment is an important step earned toward responsible adulthood and self-reliance.
Monitor and assure the safety of students assigned within the unit.
Ongoing observation of student, determination of their needs, and delivery of appropriate services
Provides assistance to the students in working with in a group and in handling individual problems
Set appropriate limits for students behavior and administers discipline in accordance with Boys Republic philosophy
Ability to be punctual and consistently work scheduled shifts
Maintain a positive attitude in interactions with residents, co-workers, parents and visitors
Must be at at least 21 years of age
A Bachelors degree in a Behavioral science or Criminal Justice AND/OR previous experience in a residential treatment setting necessary.
Must have a valid drivers license
Upon hire, all applicants will be asked to go through a Livescan background check and physical with a drug screen
