The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington (BGC, BGCSW, or Clubs) is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time, year-round SCHOOL BUS DRIVER!
- $500 sign on bonus after 90 days!
- $1,000 retention bonus after one year!

SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS
RESPONSIBILITIES
With supervision from the Bus Driver Coordinator, this position will:
During the school year, transport Boys & Girls Clubs youth from school to the Clubs daily in a BGC owned bus. Routes will include multiple schools and stops.
During the summer, transport youth and staff to/from Clubs and off-site field trip locations. Hours may increase in the summer time.
Provide a safe riding environment for Club members.
Provide guidance, affirm positive behavior and act as a role model to youth.
Adhere to all policies and procedures published by Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent
Pass a National Background Check
Possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License with a Class ‘B’ Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with ‘S’ endorsement and air brake restrictions lifted
Ability to obtain and maintain a current Washington State School Bus Driver’s License
Provide a copy of personal driving abstract/record before employment and on an annual basis. Record must be acceptable according to BGC Policy regarding drivers. Further employment is contingent on continued good driving record
Provide copy of current Medical Examiner's Certificate
Current CPR/First Aid certification
Ability to read and understand road maps and other directions
Sufficient strength and ability to operate and service school bus equipment and accessories such as fire extinguishers, highway warning kits, and first aid kits.
Ability to implement emergency procedures and help students during emergency evacuations.
Ability to deal calmly with students of various ages, and to maintain concentration and patience in noisy conditions
WORK SCHEDULE
Mondays, 1:20pm – 3:50pm,
Tuesday-Friday, 2:00pm-4:30pm
Hours may vary slightly depending on routes and program needs.
Hours will change in summer time. Schedule will be determined with supervisor.
