Before Boveda, it was difficult, if not impossible to control humidity for moisture-sensitive products like cigars, cannabis, and wooden instruments. So Boveda invented that control. Boveda started with a frustrated cigar lover whose job was to keep his cigars properly humidified. That job was labor-intensive and it didn't always work. It was the '90s and he was limited to distilled water and sponges, distilled water and shot glasses, or foam and chemicals. (Some people still use those one-way humidifying methods. We don't know why. But that's another story.)
The difficulty of accomplishing this task led to the creation of Boveda (then Humidipak) which is a two-way humidity control in a ready-to-use packet. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A BOVEDA INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Do you have a passion for cigars? So do we!
Reporting to the Tobacco Sales Manager, a lot of your day will consist of making customer phone calls to find out what they need and helping sell a solution (Boveda) to a problem (dry cigars). You’ll utilize phone, email, video and virtual meetings. You will be comfortable making dozens of connections per day, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects and closing sales. As a tobacco marketing advocate, you’ll be communicating with Marketing staff and relaying customer feedback. There will be opportunity to attend cigar industry events and/or trade shows. At least part of every day you’ll be reading or listening to industry articles and podcasts as part of your continuing education.

- Previous ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) experience
