Legal Assistant

We are a small office that values our family style atmosphere. We are looking to add an additional member to the team that is flexible and willing to learn new skills as necessary to keep the office running in an efficient and seamless manner.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Draft estate planning documents (Wills, Trusts, POA, etc.)
• Maintain the attorneys calendar
• General administrative duties (Answering phone, preparing and distributing the mail)
• Preparation of deeds and various corporate documents
• Preparation of various routine correspondence to clients
• E-Filing documents
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:
Must have:
• High School diploma
• Intermediate to Advance skills with MS Office Suite and/or Word Perfect
• 3 to 5 years of Legal Office or Small Office experience
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to work mandatory overtime during March and April
• Adobe Acrobat
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive work ethic

Preferred:
• Florida Notary
• Experience in Estate Planning, Probate, Real Estate Closing, or Tax Preparation
